Manfred Fuchs method books

Manfred Fuchs FotoManfred Fuchs, born in 1956 in Leutkirch im Allgäu, began to play guitar at the age of nine, mainly learning autodidactically.
When he was nineteen years old, he received his first real guitar lessons by Dimitris Nikitos in Stuttgart. Thereafter he studied classical guitar with Santiago Navascus at the Munich Conservatory.

During a stay in Norway, a friend gave him the Rosenberg Trio's first CD and since then his guitar playing is influenced by gypsyjazz.

His first book, dealing with that topic "Gypsy Jazz Workshop", was published in 2009 by the music publisher Doblinger, Vienna, followed by other books like  “Swing Up Your Guitar” and “Gypsy Jazz Step By Step, Book One”, both published by Doblinger.
In 2014 the CD “Bánosi Swing” and a book of the same title, containing transcriptions of all tunes and solos, was released by Acoustic Music Books, Wilhelmshaven.

Since 2006 he is organising small concert tours with Andreas Öberg in South Germany every year where he plays rhythm guitar. Sometimes he also does gigs with Wawau Adler, Robin Nolan and Ismael Reinhardt. With his Trio he performs own songs, inspired by gypsy jazz and Spanish guitar music.
